Choosing your wedding flowers should be one of the most enjoyable parts of planning your wedding but it can be bewildering and knowing where to start can be difficult. So, here are some hints and tips covering the most frequently asked questions.
Prices and Budget Planning
Price/budget is one of the most common areas of difficulty and with good reason. Magazine articles on this subject can be spectacularly misleading often quoting average spend figures alongside images of extravagant designs that would blow most budgets all on their own. “ From” price lists used by some florists are often no better but, if flowers are important to you, then your budget needs to be realistic. So, we have put together a guide and some tips to help.
The price of any floral design will depend on the size and content ( some flowers cost considerably more than others) and the time taken to make up the design. This inevitably means there can be very large variations in price even without seasonal variations.
By far the best advice we can give is to contact us and have a chat and let us use our knowledge, skills and experience to help you. We want all our brides to have the most amazing flowers possible and we have many ideas to help you get the very most out of your budget. That’s why free advice on this is all part of our service. If you are at the early stages and just want some assistance in planning a realistic budget, the price guidelines below should help. These are average costs for the sort of designs you see on our web site, blog or Facebook page. Costs can of course be above or below these figures, just depending on the flowers and designs you choose, but most of the designs you see on our web site will fall within these ranges.
Hand tied Posy £70 - £95
Shower Bouquet £100 - £165
Bridesmaids Posies Adult £40- £65

Top Tables £75 - £175
Ceremony Table Long and Lows £75-£95
Pedestals, Urns + Similar £85 - £175

The larger the design, the higher the flower content and the more expensive the flowers used, the more likely you are to be at the upper ends of the ranges.

Is there a minimum Order ?
There is a minimum order of £500. Lynne offers a unique and very personal service giving brides her undivided attention and all wedding flowers are designed and created by Lynne personally. As a result, we can only cater for a very limited number of weddings per week and we have had to introduce the minimum order to ensure our time and costs are covered.
When Should I book a consultation ?
It is advisable to book your consultation once you have set the date, booked the venue(s) and chosen your dresses. Fiori by Lynne only caters for a very limited number of weddings per week so please do contact us to check availability for your date as soon as possible, particularly if your wedding is in peak season, a year or more in advance is not uncommon.
There is no need to know exactly what you would like in the way of flowers before you come. Most people find our consultations with their relaxed and friendly approach and all the ideas that come out of them an extremely enjoyable way to formalise their ideas.
All consultations are free and entirely without pressure or obligation.
Choosing your flowers and getting a quote
We have a huge portfolio of photographs from our past weddings and a large selection of wedding flower books and magazines that you can look at for ideas and inspiration and by far the easiest route to finding the perfect designs for you is to come and see us.We will follow our consultation up with a written quote setting out the costs of the options we have discussed so you can make really informed choices.
If you would like to start work before you come, creating a mood board or scrapbook can really help you clarify your ideas. Just add pictures of your dresses, venues, stationary, fabric swatches and any favourite floral designs and you will soon see some common threads develop. Bring it to your consultation. Pinterest boards are also fantastic for this.
Remember that wedding flowers are never viewed in isolation, they should work in perfect harmony with you, your dresses, your venues and any theme you are following for your day . They can be used to create a certain style or atmosphere and can completely transform a venue.
By keeping these things in mind and discussing the designs and flowers you love ( and those you don’t ) we will both soon start building up a much clearer picture of the designs that will suit you and your day best. We can then help you with ideas, options and the finer details to ensure that all your flowers are not only stunning but also unique to you and your day.

• Keep your bouquets and buttonholes somewhere cool, out of direct sunlight and well away from any draughts, heat sources, fruit, vegetables, pets and small children!
• Petals bruise easily so handle all flowers with care.
• Practice holding your bouquet in front of the mirror before you leave. Hand tied and shower bouquets should be kept low and relaxed at about naval height
• Watch the tendency to clutch bouquets at chest height if you are nervous, it doesn’t look good.
• Men wear their buttonholes on their left and women on their right.
